PREP IN 2026
Prep 2026 – Quickly Approaching!
On Wednesday afternoon, our dedicated Prep teachers met with over 150 enthusiastic future Prep parents to share valuable insights into what to expect in a Prep classroom. The session was filled with practical tips to help ensure a smooth and confident start to school life.
We were delighted to host this event in our new hall, where teachers outlined classroom routines and expectations, linking their advice to current research on the importance of fine motor skill development and how it supports learning in the classroom. Our Speech Therapist also provided helpful strategies for supporting oral language development at home through everyday activities like speaking, reading, and playing.
Another key focus of the session was building emotional literacy—helping children to recognise, understand, and manage their emotions as they prepare for the social environment of school.
Parents had the opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with our wonderful Prep team and left with a range of handouts packed with practical suggestions for preparing their child for a successful start to school.
A Reminder:
Prep interviews are a prerequisite for attending our Transition Morning. Invitations for interviews have been extended for another week. To secure your child’s best possible start to school, please book a short interview with our Early Years Deputy Principal, Lisa Boge.
We’re looking forward to welcoming our Prep 2026 families into our school community!
