Book Week

Book Week 2025 has been a joyful celebration of Australian children’s books! Thank-you parents, for helping your children prepare their creative costumes of book characters. They looked fabulous on the Book Week assembly – as did the wonderful Wilston staff!  Poem in Your Pocket Day on Friday gave us the chance to appreciate how poets use clever use of language and humour to engage an audience! If you would like to visit our library to enjoy the colourful displays and children’s artwork, please free to pop in before or after school next week.  

Author Visit Book Purchases

Ordering for Tristan Bancks books has closed online. Books should be delivered to the school early next week. Thanks to your support, we have added several extra copies of these very popular titles to our library as well!

Book Club Issue 6

Book Club issues have been distributed in class today. If you choose to purchase, please use the LOOP site  www.scholastic.com.au/loop  which allows you to order online and pay by credit card. We have a quicker turn around than usual this issue.  Issue 6 must close next Friday 5 September to ensure delivery before the holidays.

Premier’s Reading Challenge

The Reading Challenge finished today! Please hand in all completed forms to the library on Monday next week so that children can receive a certificate from the Premier for their achievement.
