I am writing this article while at camp with our Year 5 students. Despite some fairly inclement weather, the students have been great. We have enjoyed a more 'indoor' style of camp, experiencing pickleball, caving, indigenous games, kite making and other activities. A big shout out goes to our accompanying staff. They are Mrs Grainger, Mr Kearney, Mrs Hirst, Mrs Cantarella, Ms Cooper, Mrs Romano, Mrs Kerby, Mrs Ferdinands and Mrs Chandler. Thank you to this team for giving up their own time give the Year 5s a great experience.

Book week celebrations have been occurring all week, with our highlight event, The Annual Book Week Assembly held on Tuesday morning. It was wonderful to see so many students and colleagues dressed for the day. Thanks, as always to our community for all your support. Mrs Burgess and Ms Cooper did a splendid job in organising the assembly. Our library just inspires reading at the moment!

Our smallest students in Prep enjoyed a Teddy Bears Picnic this week. 

This week is Queensland Road Safety Week.  Our Year 6 Vloggers have done a wonderful job in shinning a spotlight on road safety around our school. If you haven't seen it already I would ask that you take a moment and see their messages - we're one team Queensland, let's drive like it.

It's only a few days until our 2025 Wilston SS Fete, hosted by our P&C Association. We are very much looking forward to enjoying a great day with our community.

In other news, our senior students are loving the Tchoukball competition organised by Mr Bell. It is such a good game!
