FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we wrap up another fantastic term at Wilston Primary School, we want to take a moment to celebrate our students' hard work, enthusiasm, and remarkable achievements throughout semester 1. Parents will have received student report cards. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to analyse our overall semester 1 performance and am pleased to report, once again, very high numbers of students achieving As and Bs. Well done to all students for your learning efforts this semester. Sincere thanks to all our teachers and support staff for their work in creating the learning environment where our students can shine and succeed.
Our recent Sports Carnivals were nothing short of spectacular! Students from all grades showcased their sporting talents, resilience, and a healthy competitive spirit. The atmosphere at both carnivals was great, filled with cheers from proud parents, staff and enthusiastic classmates. Congratulations to all participants for their incredible performances, and a special shout-out to the age champions.
In addition to our athletic successes, the fabulous Wilston Wonders choir put on a wonderful performance at the Choral Fanfare Final last week, with Mrs Charters conducting. Our young singers captivated everyone with their beautiful harmonies and infectious enthusiasm. Their rendition of a number of songs was met with rousing applause and cheers from the audience. It is always heart warming to see our students express their creativity and passion through music.
Over the last few days, it has been a joy to see the hall being utilised for assembly, classroom music, PE, and for the first time this week, play activities for the year 5 and 6 students. They are all clearly thrilled at being able to play in there.
As we prepare to head into the holiday break, we want to say a huge thank you to our dedicated staff, supportive families, and, of course, our talented students for making this semester so memorable. We hope you all have a restful and enjoyable break, and that our families take time to connect with each other and with favourite holiday activities.
I think that’s all for now. We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Monday 14 July.
Warm regards and take care Wilston
