Swim Instructors – We are Hiring!

Are you passionate about swimming, water safety, and helping children gain a lifelong love of the water?

The Wilston Crocs are seeking enthusiastic and friendly individual/s to join our busy swim school, with an immediate start available to the right applicants.

Based at Wilston State School, our swimming instructors are responsible for the delivery of learn to swim classes for swimmers from four years of age. Our learn to swim program runs year-round, Monday - Thursday afternoons as well as Saturday mornings in an outdoor heated pool.

There is the opportunity for additional hours assisting with school swimming in Term 1 and 4, squad coaching as required, plus club events.

Full training will be provided to the right applicant/s.

Volunteers

Last week was National Volunteers Week! Without volunteers there would be no Friday night swim club. From the swim club committee, computer operators, timekeepers, starters, referees, marshals, canteen and BBQ volunteers, a very big thank you too all!

Fairplay Vouchers

Do you have a Fairplay Voucher which you have not yet used? The Wilston Crocs are a registered activity provider, and Fairplay Vouchers can be redeemed for learn to swim and squads. Be quick though – all round 11 vouchers must be presented to activity providers by the 6^th June 2025.

Learn to Swim and Squad

Learn to Swim and Squads are available year-round with the pool heated to 28 degrees. We currently have availability most days in our Term 2 Learn to Swim program with lessons running Monday to Thursday afternoons as well as Saturday mornings.

We also have an adult Squad which runs Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings from 6:00- 7:00am as well as a high school fitness squad which runs Wednesdays 5:30 – 6:30pm.

Swimming year round has many benefits, and we encourage all our squad and learn to swim kids to maintain their skills and swim over the winter months. Please email swim@wilstonpandc.org.au for bookings.

The Crocs will be attending the following meets this term.  

Grace Short Course Transition Meet – 31^st May
MCA Short Course Preparation Meet – 7^th June
Brisbane Jets Short Course Preparation Meet – 22^nd June

The Brisbane and Queensland Short Course Championships will bring the winter season to an end in early August. Qualifying times for these two championship meets, can be achieved at any of the above meets.
