Dear Parents and Carers,

What a wonderful assembly we enjoyed this morning! At the time of writing, the Wilston State School Community has raised almost $30,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation. What an achievement! Thank you everyone who has made a contribution to this total, and especially to the students and families, for getting involved. Of course, a massive shout out to Beth Cooper for organising the event and to our PE Teacher, Mr Rod Bell, for being such a good sport and having his hair shaved!

Of course, this assembly was our last assembly for term and it is now time for our students and staff to enjoy a well-earned break. We appreciate all the support our families give to our school during each term, so thank you all. Wishing our school community a safe, peaceful and happy break. The Easter Weekend falls at the end of the holidays, so school resumes on Tuesday 22 April. A reminder that Friday 25 April is the ANZAC public holiday. Our school ANZAC service will be on Wednesday 23 April, with the rescheduled cross country carnival on 24 April. Let’s hope for some drier weather over the holidays!
